FastFreight

Buyer guide / commercial intent

Do not buy a receptionist when your brokerage needs a workflow.

The right choice depends on what you need the line to do. Compare generic message taking with a freight-aware virtual front desk and governed automation that captures context, routes ownership, and gives brokers control.

Three categories. Very different outcomes.

Use these as evaluation questions, not a ranking of named providers. Capabilities vary by vendor and configuration. Ask each provider to demonstrate the same call, missing-data case, and escalation fallback.

Frequently asked questions

Is FastFreight Voice a generic answering service?

No. The offer is built for freight brokerages: the workflow captures configured freight context, routes the call to the right broker or team, and escalates approved exceptions. It is designed around brokerage operations rather than generic message taking.

Should I start with automation software or call answering?

Start with the workflow where missed coverage is most expensive and easiest to measure. For most brokerages, that is inbound carrier and shipper call intake. Once the handoff works, add after-hours, status, routing, or exception roles.

Will this replace our TMS or brokers?

No. FastFreight Voice is a controlled execution layer for approved communication and routing tasks. Your TMS remains the system of record, and brokers retain authority over pricing, negotiation, carrier selection, booking, and commitments unless a separate governed workflow is approved.
